Hand Washing
Luxury lingerie should be hand washed. Machine washing stresses structure: underwires move within casing, elastic stretches imperfectly, lace snags, foam cups lose shape. Hand washing in cool water with specialist lingerie wash takes two minutes and preserves the engineering that makes luxury lingerie worth its price.
Technique
Cool water, mild detergent, gentle swishing — no twisting or wringing. Rinse thoroughly. Gently press water out between the palms. Reshape cups immediately after washing before drying.
Drying and Storage
Never tumble dry — heat destroys elastic and foam. Lay flat or hang by the centre gore. Store with cups nested inside each other — never fold in half. A dedicated lingerie drawer with upright cups maintains shape between wears.
