The Support Foundation

A successful convention day is planned around support, not the costume's look alone — even a beautifully constructed costume reads as diminished if the wearer is visibly uncomfortable or constantly adjusting it. A well-fitted strapless bra or properly engineered built-in bust support, paired with a small fashion-tape emergency kit (extra tape, an oil-based remover wipe, safety pins), covers most of the wardrobe failures that actually happen over a long con day.

Cosplay Is Not Consent

Wearing a costume — however revealing or elaborate — is not an invitation for touching, unsolicited commentary, or photography without asking first. Most major conventions have a formal harassment reporting process; know where that desk or contact is before you need it, not after. You're always within your rights to decline a photo request, end an interaction, or ask someone to step back, regardless of the character or how the costume is designed.

Community as a Practical Resource

The full-busted and adult cosplay community is genuinely active online (Discord servers, dedicated forums, convention meetups) and tends to be a strong source of practical, specific knowledge — fitting solutions for a particular bra brand, which fabric tapes hold up in humidity, which conventions have better track records on harassment policy enforcement. Finding that community before your first convention, not after a bad experience, makes the difference in how prepared you actually are.
